Anti-lock braking systems stop your wheels from locking when you tap your brakes, and a study done by Monash University in Australia showed that anti-lock braking systems reduced the risk of the occurrence of multiple vehicle crashes by 18% and the risk of accidents resulting from running off the road by 35%.
