The Hottest 2 for 1 Sale on the Market!

Enjoy Cheaper Auto Insurance Premiums While Protecting Your Family

Two for one sales are great, aren't they? You can pick up two books for the price of one and be entertained for

You'd never leave your child unprotected, so why drive a car that can't keep them safe?
hours. You can pick up two movies for the price of one and keep your kids out of trouble for hours (which usually has the same effect). You can buy your groceries two for one and sack some money away into the account you've been using to save up for that trip to Catalina. Whatever your two for one sale is, chances are it's always a good thing.

Did you know that you could get a two for one sale on your auto insurance too?

Stop! Before you go racing out the door to insure your second car for free, keep reading. Most insurance companies will cut you a deal on your auto insurance premiums if you're insuring two cars rather than one, but they're probably still going to make you pay for it. There is, however, one two for one option that's totally available anytime, with any insurance company, and isn't going to charge you extra fees just for being there. That's making your car safer for your family while knocking big bucks off your auto insurance premiums.

Think about it. Would you be more comfortable slipping behind the wheel of a car with a driver's side air bag or one of those clown fists that bonks you in the nose when you tap your brakes too hard? (If you had to think about that one, Ringling Bros. is probably hiring!) You'd never dream of voluntarily getting behind the wheel of a car that you knew would put you and your loved ones at risk, but when you're driving a vehicle that doesn't have adequate safety features that's exactly what you're doing.

Creating unnecessary risk.

Children less than 12 years old or smaller than 4"7' should always ride in the backseat. This decreases the chances that they'll be injured in an accident as well as lowering the odds of injury to the neck and back due to an exploding airbag.

The good news is, most cars today come fully equipped with top of the line safety features like the ones mentioned below. The even better news is that your auto insurance provider will probably cut you a discount just for buying a safety savvy vehicle. When you're looking for a car that's going to come fully equipped with cheap insurance coverage and the Hefty bag version of automotive security features, make sure you look for:

· Seat belts. Yes, it sounds ridiculously simple (don't all cars have seatbelts?), but think of it this way-a family of five that buys a car with only four seatbelts is going to have a 20% chance of someone flying through the windshield if you're involved in an accident. Most auto insurance providers aren't going to like those odds.

· Air Bags. Did you know that your face connecting with the steering wheel after you have an accident at 55 mph or higher (yes, we've all seen traffic on the interstate) can result in more damage than the clown fist would have? Air bags decrease the amount of cranial (head) damage you can expect to suffer in an accident and should be considered an irreplaceable part of your car's safety systems.

· Anti-Lock Brakes. Anti-lock braking systems stop your wheels from locking when you tap your brakes, and a study done by Monash University in Australia showed that anti-lock braking systems reduced the risk of the occurrence of multiple vehicle crashes by 18% and the risk of accidents resulting from running off the road by 35%.

There are hundreds of other safety technologies that come standard with today's car designs; these are just a few. (Hey, if they can figure out how to install a DVD player as part of a soccer mom mobile, they can do anything!) Safe cars don't just protect your family. They also knock big bucks off your auto insurance premiums and put money back in your pocket that you can use to live out your circus dreams when you're not behind the wheel.
