Where Can I Go to Get a Driver's View on My Florida Car Insurance Carrier?
It's an undeniable truth that you simply can't get the full picture about a company's good or services just by poking around in professional publications. Oh sure, there are people who'll swear by it, but most of those people are investors trying to figure out where their money is going to do the most good (and generate the most return). What they're not are drivers trying to make sure they're making the right choice when they choose a Florida car insurance company.
If you're going to make sure you've got all the information about potential Florida car insurance companies you're going to have to go digging through both professional publications and consumer reports. That way you get both their business stats, which lets you know that they're not out there going bankrupt while you're sitting around twiddling your thumbs and paying your premiums, as well as the front line view from drivers just like you that have done business with them over the years.
The question is, where do you go for all of that?
There are a couple of different options open to you. Personally, I'd recommend

Nobody knows car insurance like other drivers.

Keep in mind when you're checking out these consumer reports that it's impossible to make all of the people happy, all of the time. A company that tries is going to go broke in a year by paying out car insurance claims they really shouldn't have touched with a ten foot pole. And unhappy customers are going to be the first ones to go out there and let the whole world know what they think abount what's going on! It's important to take consumer reports with a grain of salt.
The other thing you want to do is scope out their standing with the Better Business Bureau and other professional organizations. These resources will let you know how many lawsuits they've been involved in over the years, how many customer complaints they've received on a regular basis and how many times the company has been fined for one violation or another. While you're at it, take some time to check out their financial standing with various reporting agencies like Nielson. That should let you know how stable the Florida car insurance company you're thinking about doing business with is to make sure you're going to get your car insurance claims paid when the time comes.
Remember, the best thing you could possibly do for yourself when it comes to buying car insurance from any Florida car insurance company is get together as much information as possible. If you can do that you'll be in an excellent position to make the right choices when the time comes to start handing over part of your paycheck.
